While speaking with Us magazine, Cannon recently said Carey's secrecy is not based in "superstition," but rather that she is "trying to stay true and stay private for as long as you possibly can."

He added, "She wants to keep as much privacy as she possibly can."

Carey has also commented on the rumors, telling fans on Twitter, "When the time is right, everyone will know." She continued on to thank them for their "well wishes."

If the baby rumors are true, Mariah fans should expect an announcement in the near future. According to Nick, the decision to keep quiet is a "spiritual" choice and there is a "certain time limit you're supposed to wait before you can actually officially say that you are [pregnant]."

The band had played two concerts on June 30 and July 2, 2009 as part of their 360° tour and rehearsed for the shows two days beforehand. Along with U2, Shakira may be facing fines from the Barcelona officials as well.

Along with U2, Shakira may be facing fines from the Barcelona officials as well. The songstress is supposedly under investigation for riding a motorcycle without a helmet during a video shoot in the city. She also allegedly danced in a city fountain, both of which are illegal.

U2 has also made recent headlines for an op-ed piece published by their manager Paul McGuiness. The piece appears in the U.K. edition of GQ magazine and in it, McGuiness argues that "free" media is taking down the music industry.

"If you had to encapsulate the crisis of the music industry in the past decade, it would be in one momentous word: 'free.' The digital revolution essentially made music free. It is now doing the same with films and books," he writes.
